Final Week--July 21--Home to Harmony

Were you surprised at Jessie Peacock's reaction to winning the $5 million lottery? Under the same circumstances, what would you plan to do with the money?

Yes, I was surprised. I thought she could have done alot of good in her church and community with that money. I am not sure what exactly I would do if I won that amount, but I hope I could fund some projects that would have a positive impact on my community.

I was totally suprized. I would personaly invest the money in my hometown that despertly needs minimum wage jobs after previous jobs were exported to China and Mexico. However, I would create manufacturing jobs that paid a living wage.

I wasn't too surprised by her actions, knowing her stance on gambling. I think she made a statement by not accepting the money, because by accepting it she would've shown approval for the lottery. Sometimes standing up for what you believe is right (or against what is wrong, in this case) can be a difficult task; however, it is very honorable. Christians are to do what is right, not just avoid what is wrong.

I am surprised. I would probably spend the money in ways to help those I'm close to. But really it might be best to decline the money. Ironically helping people by monetary value can really hinder the person in the long run. The best way to help others is by living by God's word and to live by them. This is something that will be everlasting.
